AMBASSADOR N.OYUNDARI VISITED THE SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE IN KATOWICE
On May 14, 2025, Ambassador N.Oyundari visited the Special Economic Zone in Katowice in Śląskie Region and received a brief introduction about of the economic zone, its special conditions, including tax exemptions and public incentives and exchanged views on the matter.
Poland is a “special zone” in its entirety, and has a total of 14 special zones. Each zone has a certain amount of tax relief. Companies operating in the Katowice Special Economic Zone, depending on their size, receive income tax relief equal to 40, 50, or 60% of their invested capital divided into 14 or 15 years, it creates 100000 workplaces and has an investment of 12 bln euros, initiated 1100 investment projects.
There is a big opportunity to develop such an economic zone to work together on the Regional Development Policy implemented by the Mongolian Government, industrial park development, and free economic zone establishment policies.
