Ambassador N. Oyundari attended the opening of the photo exhibition entitled “Lost and Rediscovered in the Gobi Desert”, held on January 8, 2026 at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków.

The exhibition was prepared by researcher and photographer E. Sunderiyaa and presents notable moments from archaeological excavations and research conducted in the Gobi Desert and steppe regions. These studies form part of a major project implemented within the framework of cooperation between Mongolian and Polish research institutions, aimed at shedding new light on human life, migration, and cultural traces from the Pleistocene and early Holocene periods. The research has revealed significant finds, including remains of hearths, stone tools, ceramic objects, and ornamental items made from ostrich eggshells, which provide insight into early Holocene settlement patterns and ways of life.

During the opening, Ambassador N.Oyundari emphasized that the successful cooperation between Mongolian and Polish academic institutions plays an important role in the study and international promotion of Mongolia’s archaeological heritage.

Prior to the opening of the exhibition, Ambassador N. Oyundari met with the Vice-Rector of the AGH University of Science and Technology, R.Wiśniewski, to exchange views on further cooperation.
