MEETING OF MONGOLIAN TRADITIONAL MEDICINE PRACTITIONERS AND RESEARCHERS WAS HELD AT THE OFFICE FOR REGISTRATION OF MEDICINAL PRODUCTS, MEDICAL DEVICES AND BIOCIDAL PRODUCTS OF POLAND

Within the framework of the visit of the delegation led by Mr. J. Zoljargal, Member of the State Great Hural of Mongolia and Chair of the Mongolian–Polish Parliamentary Group, to the Republic of Poland, a consultative meeting of Mongolian traditional medicine practitioners and researchers was held at the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products of Poland.

In addition to members of the Mongolian–Polish parliamentary group, the meeting was attended by representatives of the healthcare and pharmaceutical business sector, Mongolian traditional medicine practitioners working in Poland, as well as representatives of the Mongolian Association for Pharmaceutical Supply Reform and the Mongolian Society of Integrative Medicine.

The meeting was opened with remarks by H.E. Mrs. N.Oyundari, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Poland; Member of Parliament and Chair of the Mongolian–Polish Parliamentary Group Mr. J. Zoljargal; and President of the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products of Poland, Mr. Grzegorz Cessak. In their speeches, they underscored the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of healthcare.

During the event, the Presidential Decree of Mongolia on “Promoting the Development of Traditional Medicine” was formally presented and honorably conferred upon representatives of Mongolian traditional medicine practitioners. Distinguished Physician of Mongolia Mr. B. Och and Ms. U. Baigalmaa received the decree as representatives of the wider community of practitioners who are contributing to the promotion and development of Mongolian traditional medicine abroad.

Furthermore, pursuant to the Presidential Decree of Mongolia, state decorations and medals were awarded to several physicians in recognition of their valuable contributions to promoting Mongolian traditional medicine in Poland.

As part of the meeting, Member of Parliament MD, PhD D.Ganmaa delivered a presentation on “Improving the Legal Framework of the Health Sector,” while Dr. D.Tsend-Ayush, Professor and Senior Specialist of the Professional Council for Traditional Medicine under the Ministry of Health of Mongolia, presented on “Policy Issues of Mongolian Traditional Medicine.”
